Goals
Agile development approach is becoming increasingly popular. Short cycles, user involvement and integrated unit testing are used to avoid documentation overhead and ensure the product quality. Do we need traditional quality assurance methods, such as peer reviews, any more? Can pair programming provide the same rewards as inspections? Should user stories be reviewed? What is the role of postmortem reviews (project retrospectives) in agile development? How the development can be analysed and improved if there is no review/inspection data about the defects?
Call for Papers
The workshop deals with issues concerning reviews and inspections in agile development.
Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:
  • Integrating peer reviews in agile processes
  • Introducing new review methods more suitable for agile development
  • Conducting postmortem reviews (project retrospectives) in agile development
  • Experience reports on the effectiveness of pair programming and other review-like methods in agile development
  • Experiments on peer reviews in agile projects

The call for papers is also available in pdf format.
Submission
We solicit two types of papers from academia and industry practitioners:
  1. POSITION PAPERS (max 2 pages) that describe a statement of interest, a concern or challenge, or a research opportunity
  2. TECHNICAL PAPERS (max 6 pages) that describe experience reports, technological solutions or methodological approaches
Papers in PDF format should be submitted via email to one of the co-chairs.
All technical papers will be fully reviewed by at least two program committee members and will be judged on the basis of originality, contribution, technical and presentation quality, and relevance to the workshop. Accepted technical papers will be published in the conference proceedings by the IEEE Computer Society Press.
Position papers will be evaluated by co-chairs for relevance to workshop theme and published in the workshop web site.
Authors of accepted papers will be expected to attend the workshop.
